CRYC Race Course

The starting gun for races is at 1:00 pm for Series races on Sundays.  Regattas and special events frequently start at 10:00 am on Saturdays.  Informal mixed fleet races and social activities are held on Thursday evenings, with the start at approximately 6:15 pm.  On weekdays, training classes are held during the day and evening.  Fun sailing is open at anytime, we only ask that you stay out of the way of boats that are racing or participating in classes.   Come on down and join us on Sunday afternoons, or anytime, for a great day or evening on the water.  Crew positions may be available for any of the races - please check with the race committee.  Hope to see you soon on the Cooper River!

The course to be sailed is posted on the clubhouse roof prior to each race.  All marks are to be taken to port on "P" courses and to starboard on "S" courses.  The course to be sailed will be posted on the roof followed by the number of laps.  For example: "2P2" would mean a course of "2P" with two laps sailed and all marks to port (4,1,4,1,F).

The Starting and finishing line is between the center pole on the clubhouse roof and the buoy on the far side of the river.  The buoy nearest the clubhouse acts as the boundary for the southern end of the line and may not be on the start/finish line.
