Learn to Race at Cooper River Yacht Club

Session will begin at 7pm Friday Nights, starting on March 1st
Free for members
$30 for non-members
 
Did you take sailing lessons at Cooper River and are wondering what’s next?
Have you tried racing and still haven’t quite figured it out yet?
Are you a racer who is still a little fuzzy on the rules for racing?
Are you a salty dog with sea stories aplenty?
If so then the Bridge to Racing Program is for you! 

Starting March 1st, sailboat racing “Chalk Talks” return to Cooper river for the benefit of those either involved in club racing or wanting to get involved.  We’re going to start out with the a complete review of the most recent racing rules of sailing.   The material will be presented with beginners in mind, but everyone can get something out of it.  This year we are planning to have 4 weeks of sailing topics! 
 
Sessions will be informal and discussion based, sea stories by more experienced racers are encouraged!  We want to encourage new and experienced racers alike to come out and socialize.  The talks will be mostly boat neutral, sailors from all sailboat classes and types are welcome!
